Kenneth Dale Bodkins, age 62, of Washington, Iowa, died Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City following a brief illness.

In celebration of Kenny's life the family will receive friends at the Marr Park Conservation Center on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The Jones & Eden Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, a general memorial has been established. Online condolences may be sent for Kenny's family through the web at www.jonesfh.com.

Kenny was born April 12, 1950, in Davis County, Iowa the son of Hobert and Helen (Blodgett) Bodkins. He attended school in Washington, Iowa. Kenny lived most of his life in Washington, Iowa but had previously lived in Ottumwa and Sigourney, Iowa.

He was employed at EPC in Kalona until health forced his retirement. He enjoyed being outdoors. Kenny enjoyed gardening, woodworking and collecting tins.
He is survived by son, Clint Bodkins and wife Tina of Colfax, Iowa; daughter, Ronette Wagner and husband Adam of Washington, Iowa; son Jason Bodkins and wife Renee of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; step son, Monte Graves of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; step daughter, Aimee Redlinger of Vinton, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; multiple adopted grandchildren; his father, Hobert Bodkins of Ottumwa, Iowa; sister, Leona Arnold of Ottumwa, Iowa; sister, Nancy Lankford and husband Jerry of Richland, Iowa; sister, Wanda Perkins and husband Rich of Wapello, Iowa; brother, Bill Bodkins and wife Stephanie of Wellington, Colorado; and special friend and caretaker Nia.

Kenny was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Bodkins; and two brothers, James and Bob Bodkins.
